Actually a fantastic bike at this price, coming from a mechanic.

Bear in mind it doesn't come specced with the M310 Shimano Altus rear derailleur or Shimano Rapidfire shifters, but rather Microshift components. Not as high quality as Shimano but negligible for that price.

Could you recommend a cheap Adult bike? It's nice to know from a expert

There are a few factors as to your needs/wants when it comes to bikes. Mountain (hardtail, full suss), road etc. What kind of a budget do you have?
These adult GT bikes look pretty good for the price. 50% off too.

        • Any recommendation on Adult road bike. Won't be used much, need one so that can go out with kids on the weekend. Budget around $500 maybe?

@ace310: @ace310 Second hand could be a good option for you?
My first mountain bike was used, although barely at all. The guy bought it thinking he'd get into mountain biking and simply didn't. It was less than two years old, but new condition. I paid a fraction of the RRP for a premium bike.
My basic advice is if it's not going to be used often is go for a second hand name brand bike over a new Warehouse or Kmart bike. They'll just end up in the bin.

            • @wowbigdeal: Thanks. No issues with 2nd, just don't want to end up with something that's not working properly. As don't know what exactly should I be looking for when getting it apart for normal riding it. Any good ones to look for ? Any I should avoid? Will check FB & trademe.

  • If youre after a MTB, some great prices, and saving a decent chunk at the moment! Its a buyers market!

  • Could an adult ride this bike? Say 170cm tall?

    • This bike will likely be too small unfortunately. The recommended height is from 150cm- 165/170cm but the frame size is made for children. I bought one for my 11 year old and my 10 year old could probably ride it too.

    • The weight would be okay and the seat height you'd probably be able to adjust to extend for your leg, but the cranks are only 130 mm as opposed to 170 for an adult bike so you would lose the levering advantage of longer legs so no the GT Aggressor Sport MTB 27.5 would be far better.

    • The crankset length for kids bike also shorter. Won't suggest but I think it is ridable
