Cheers, got the new Chromecast and a battery jump starter.

    • Getting one too. I have two Nvidia Shields at home, but this would work nicely for travel.

    • picked one up as well. i don't think they'd even bumped the price up lol

      • $114 was the same price when I bought one a few weeks ago, this is my second one.

      • Just checking if your has arrived yet? Mines just been sitting at 'approved by australia post' since the 25th….

Same here. "Shipping information approved by Australia Post"

          • @Arsonist: seems pretty sketchy, especially given Dick Smiths reputation these days… hopefully it arrives this week or I'll look into a refund

            • @cheapmf: I'd say be patient. there are massive Covid delays with mail and courier from Australia at the moment.
Also with the cancelation of isolation free travel for NZders a bunch of flights got cancelled…
this means less flights coming back too, so less cargo capacity.

            • @cheapmf: Has yours been updated at all? Mine is still "Shipping information approved by Australia Post" since the 27th

              • @Aaron: yeah I received it a few days ago, that's strange that yours is taking so long

                • @cheapmf: Was the tracking updated at all? or did it just arrive with no updates

                  • @Aaron: it sat at 'shipping approved…' for like 7 days then it did the usual few updates for about 2 days until it was delivered

                    • @cheapmf: OK thanks for that, I guess I better contact support

my first order for a power supply shipped on the 24th, delivered today.
Second order shipped 25th, sitting at approved.
Must be in a airline cargo box waiting for a spot.

          • @rkl: Mine was delivered on Saturday 6th

I have been looking at this sofa/bed/ https://www.dicksmith.co.nz/dn/buy/shangri-la-corby-sofa-bed… was $209 with $75 shipping now with free shipping price has jumped to $329.99, cheaper to buy without Free shipping…ah well

Yes ,the sheer dishonesty of this Company.Anyway I would be wary of buying something so large because warranty claims might be difficult as you might have to pay shipping costs to return it.Like 0mfgroflmao ,I bought a new chrome cast TV so I don't have to buy Apple TV , apparently has the Apple app on it now.

Yep, something I bought recently that had $20 shipping… now it's $20 more expensive but has free shipping

    • DSE/KOGAN is often cheapest for many products, but they make it up by charging increased shipping (like $40 for a phone…. that still arrives in the same package as any other item from them) no surprise they have hiked prices to offset offering 'free shipping' its so dishonest.

  • Xiaomi Mi Curved 34" for $539 delivered.
    lol. Can't deliver to NZ.

    • Ooof yeah just tried that one too, sucks.

Got some Nespresso compatible coffee pods, $29 for 100 delivered, cheap as.

    • I got some to, good idea!

  • Thanks, bought Xiaomi air purifier pro, even cheaper than when they used to charge shipping

  • Only a few hours to go, so tempted to buy an air conditioning unit and save $380 in shipping…

    • Don't. For portables Bunnings is cheaper and has a good return policy. For split systems just get a decent brand name unit (e.g. Mitsubishi or Daikin).

      • Yes there smart lights and switches are good value for no name brand but more expensive items I would always buy a name brand.

  • God this is a scumbag company. What the hell is up with their everyday shipping prices? No one is dumb enough to pay these right? $35 for a sandwich press? $41 for a $1500 mobile phone. Absolutely laughable and a nice clear red flag to avoid this ripoff joint. I ended up ordering the exact same phone from amazon usa for $500 cheaper, and shipping FROM USA TO NZ was $19. No wonder dick smith went out of business and i hope kogan goes the same way this year.

    • nah they got $$. kogan just bought mighty ape fairly recently.
